Privacy Policy

General

Plusgram is an anti-spam app operated by Legal Development based on the original Telegram X client. Telegram allows all developers to build their own apps upon their original clients. Two organisations are involved, not one. Plusgram is a modified Telegram X client that connects to Telegram’s servers via Telegram’s public API: Telegram operates the messaging service. Your account, phone number, chats and media live on Telegram’s infrastructure under Telegram’s Privacy Policy. We do not operate those servers and cannot read your messages. We operate the app and a lookup service that powers Plusgram’s own features. That is what this policy covers.

Data collection

Handled by Telegram, not by us: your account details, messages, media, voice messages and calls are handled by Telegram on Telegram’s servers. Plusgram displays them and adds no copy of its own — no separate backup, no message log, and no analytics event containing message content. Secret chats remain end-to-end encrypted between devices. Cached chats, settings and any passcode stay on your device; biometric unlock is performed by Android, which never discloses your fingerprint or face data to the app.

The app may collect your own Telegram ID and phone number, and — for your contacts up to a capped number — details such as their Telegram ID, first and last name, username and phone number. It also includes basic identifiers for channels you follow. The content of your chats or any other personal content is never included.

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics, which records a limited set of events such as the app being opened and a sign-in completing, together with an installation identifier and general device information such as model, operating system version, language and approximate country. It also collects the Android advertising ID and Google Play install referrer, which we may use to understand where installs come from. Firebase Cloud Messaging is used to deliver notifications and requires a device token. We may engage further service providers for similar purposes, and will update this policy if we do. The app requests permissions only as features need them, and may request READ_CONTACTS, CAMERA, RECORD_AUDIO, media access, notifications, phone state (to pause playback during a call) and biometrics. The app requests no location permission of any kind, and the location features found in other Telegram clients have been removed for privacy reasons.

Storage and retention

Data described in this Policy is stored on infrastructure located in Germany and is encrypted in transit. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Users may request the deletion of their personal data.

Advertising

Plusgram does not sell advertising, serves no ads of its own, and does not use your data to target advertising at you. There is no advertising network in the app, and we do not sell personal data.
